Jesus commanded us to forgive seven times seventy times, and to forgive with all of our heart. Repeated offences with no sign of changes in behaviour can be abusive. God can enable us to forgive however reconciliation is not required of us.

In Psalm 62, David successfully waited on God. He didn’t expect God to conform to his agenda but he was patient, showing his dependence on God, praying regularly, pouring out his heart. He trusted in God alone.
